About Pat

Pat is a board certified counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has over 30 years of experience working in the mental health care field. Pat began her career working with adolescents in a residential facility and currently provides clinical supervision to other mental health professionals and sees individuals and couples for out-patient counseling.  Pat’s approach to therapy is a collaborative one with her clients. She works on improving communication and reducing conflict in relationships. Pat helps clients with stress management, grief and loss issues, depression and anxiety. Pat also works with women who have a history of trauma, including abuse and neglect.

Jessica Beach, LCSW

Meet Jessica

Jessica Beach and her family moved to Richmond in August 2017 and fell in love with the area. She grew up in Long Island, New York and obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Stony Brook University. Jessica and her family spent 10 years living in sunny Florida where she worked in a community mental health agency. She received her LCSW during this time and had the privilege of working with a diverse population. 


Clinical Practice

Jessica is a licensed clinical social worker who is experienced in working with adolescents, adults, and families. She has experience and interest in working with individuals, families and couples who are struggling with depression, anxiety, chronic illness, relationship challenges, and parenting issues.  Jessica also works with individuals who have experienced grief and loss and provides trauma counseling for individuals who have more persistent unresolved concerns, including veterans and active duty service members.


Jessica believes that we all have struggles that can benefit from support from time to time. Using Strengths Perspective, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and emotion regulation skills, Jessica has seen individuals resolve specific issues and feel more prepared to address future life challenges. Jessica also believes that as social beings we ultimately heal and grow when provided the tools, support and encouragement needed.

Courtenay Baber, LPC

About Courtenay Baber, LPC, CSOTP and, her certified therapy dog, Grace

Courtenay Baber is a licensed professional counselor and certified sex offender treatment provider who provides outpatient therapy to adults aged 18 and older.  

Courtenay has expertise in treating individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem and relationship issues, substance abuse, life transitions, and Adjustment Disorder. Ms. Baber is especially interested in working with victims of abuse, women's issues and helping individuals recover from trauma by providing a safe, supportive, non-judgmental and therapeutic environment that fosters emotional healing and growth. 

Ms. Baber received her Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from the College of Charleston in SC and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. Courtenay has provided services in multiple clinical settings including psychiatric hospitals, both outpatient and in the community and within the Department of Corrections. Courtenay also has experience in facilitating groups to include substance abuse, sex offender, DBT and ACT groups.   She is also currently working on obtaining her EMDR certification. 

Courtney is a lifelong resident of central Virginia and has a deep-rooted passion for animals and is certified in The Eagala Model of Equine Therapy and is experienced with animal assisted therapy and activities. Ms. Baber practices wither her certified therapy dog, Grace, who loves to help people through tough times. Grace enjoys being read to and listening attentively to the problem at hand. Her calm nature helps people to relax.  Grace is always interested in a treat or belly rub, as well!  When Grace is not working, she enjoys interacting with her equine friends on the farm or relaxing on the porch.

Elizabeth is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 5 years of experience working with school-aged kids and teens, young adults, and families. Her goal is to provide compassionate support and to create a safe, relaxed space to work through challenges, identify strengths, and promote resilience using cognitive-behavioral techniques and mindfulness-based interventions.

Elizabeth has experience helping clients and families manage stressors and deal with struggles related to anxiety, depression, behavioral and emotional issues, trauma, self-esteem, grief, and relational problems.

Meet Michael Beach, LCSW, Certified Trauma Provider 

Michael is a licensed clinical social worker and Certified Trauma Provider experienced with helping individuals seeking to change their lives. Michael has helped individuals to better manage their struggles with self-esteem, communication, depression, anxiety, and relationship challenges. As a Certified Trauma Provider, Michael has also worked with individuals to effectively process the lingering effects of past events.
